FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions before running a simulation.
Is the simulation really free and with no obligation?
Yes. The simulation is free and commits you to nothing. You can run it without creating an account and without leaving any contact details. Requesting a call back is a separate, optional step.
Do I need to know the technical details of my roof?
No. The questionnaire offers simplified answers and 'I don't know' options. A technical survey then confirms the actual area, orientation and pitch.
Are the results guaranteed?
No. Results are indicative estimates based on demo assumptions (electricity price, costs, feed-in tariff). A personalised study is required to confirm production and savings.
Can I run a simulation if I rent?
Yes. The simulation stays available. That said, a solar installation generally requires the owner's agreement, and the project must be reviewed with them.
Why does the simulator ask for my postcode?
Sunshine levels vary by region. The postcode applies a regional production approximation, clearly labelled as such. No precise location data is needed for the estimate.
What is the difference between self-consumption and selling the surplus?
Self-consumption means using the electricity you produce on site, which avoids buying it at grid price. The surplus is the unused share, which can be sold at a generally lower tariff.
Is a battery always worth it?
No. A battery increases the upfront cost and does not make sense for every household. The profitability comparator shows both scenarios without forcing a favourable result.
What happens to my personal data?
Contact details are only requested after the estimate is shown, and only if you want a call back. Consent is collected separately from marketing communications, which stay optional.
Can I withdraw my consent to be called?
Yes. You can withdraw your consent at any time, without giving a reason. The process is described in the privacy policy.
Are grants included in the estimate?
Not by default. Grant schemes change and depend on your situation. They must be checked as of their valid date before any decision.
